Speaking directly to Estate Intel, Leye Taiwo, CEO of Troloppe explained:

“This signifies the emergence of a new Ikoyi office submarket of Banana Island, offering peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the city.”

Commenting on the event on LinkedIn, Taiwo adds:

“I’m proud to announce that Desiderata, Banana Island is now fully occupied. This represents the first Grade A commercial office building in Ikoyi to achieve full occupancy, achieved within 12 months of building completion.”

Even though the property was largely completed in 2018, and has been available for inspections since then, final construction snags and the exit of the main contractor only occurred around this time last year.

Heritage Place (90%+) and Temple Tower/116 Temple (88%+) are a few examples of other relatively new properties in Ikoyi with strong occupancy rates.

Desiderata was developed by Funtierra Limited and is located on Abuja Street within the Mixed-Use and Commercial Zone of Banana Island. It was built by Monterosa Construction and designed by AWWW and Delano Architects.

Troloppe Property Services was also involved in the leasing of CDL Place, which similarly announced full occupancy in March 2018.
