ei Update: Lagos Office and Hospitality Market Dashboard; ei African Real Estate and Related Fund Tracker

Dolapo Omidire

We are happy to announce that we (Estate Intel) just launched our ei African Real Estate and Related Fund Tracker along with two new interactive dashboards on the beta version of our new app! The Lagos Hotel and Office Market Dashboards.

The Lagos Hotel Market Dashboard is the first of many data visualizations of the African Hospitality market that we will be producing in partnership with W Hospitality Group. It provides instant and easy access to time series data on hotel occupancies, ADRs, RevPARs, room stock and pipeline data.

The Lagos Office Market Dashboard illustrates market drivers for leasing activity, gives insight on the reasons for the move, active construction, and quantum of leased space tracked in a certain period.

Below are screenshots showing parts of this. Much more data on construction costs, comparables for valuers, retail market etc. is in the pipeline.

As the number of institutional investors operating and chasing the same return within the Sub-Saharan African real estate space increases, the team has taken interest in tracking and compiling data on these investors. We created the ei African Real Estate and Related Fund Tracker and it is now live. It provides a summary of private equity funds investing directly and indirectly in the Sub-Saharan African real-estate market. To date, we have tracked a total of over $5 Billion in capital (and growing) from real estate and related funds and you can now have access via our web app.
