The new model of communal workspaces with hot desking and new flexible ways of working mean the modern workplace plays an even more important role in social interaction.

Tasked with designing workstation’s new 927m2 office space on the second-floor mezzanine level of Maryland Mall was Studio Contra Mundum.

According to the firm, they are committed to the delivery of sensitive, innovative and thoughtful contemporary architecture. Olayinka Dosekun, the Creative Director at Studio Contra Mundum said they designed a variety of spaces to think, work and interact; with every item of furniture and lighting carefully selected or custom designed to suit the user’s needs.

We visited the site on Thursday 25 October 2018 and here is the progress so far.

The fit out was contracted to Skyview Development Limited who were also responsible for the delivery of the workstation VI space.

Tiling, electrical, piping, HVAC, plumbing and general finishing work are approximately 70% complete and we expect the first customers in before the year ends.
