West African Insurance Companies Association (WAICA) Corporation, a global reinsurance provider company is developing a West Africa Regional Office dubbed WAICA Re, in Accra, Ghana. The reinsurance provider currently has a presence in over ten African countries, predominantly in West Africa, with others in the Middle East and Asia. Here is an inside look at the new Ghana office:

• It is an A-Grade building on Dr. Amilcar Cabral Street, Airport Area, an affluent neighbourhood in Ghana’s Greater Accra area.
• MultiCad Consulting designed it, and M & Sousa Ghana Construction is currently building the project as the Main Contractor whereas Origin International (formerly GHC Africa ) is the project manager. 
• Other project team members include RLB as the quantity surveyor, BSM Baker as the structural engineer, and CKR Consulting Engineers as the electrical engineers.
• The project is set for completion in 2025 upon which, the building will feature 8 floors, and we are yet to confirm the gross leasable area.

Upon completion of the project in Accra, it will join Stanbic Heights, Atlantic Tower, and One Aiport Square among other buildings in the airport area, as some of the A-Grade office completions.
