The Transcorp Hilton, Lagos will be a 300 room hotel located on Glover Road in Ikoyi, opposite Lagos Prep School. This hotel was originally announced in late 2013 and will be jointly owned by Transcorp Hotels Plc and Heirs Holdings. On completion, the hotel will offer conference facilities, meeting rooms, gym, spa, swimming pool and an iconic design which Transcorp argues will ‘add verve to the Lagos landscape‘.

The development board for the project went up on the 17th of September and light site clearing and piling have begun, however construction is yet start. It will be the Hilton Group’s second hotel in Nigeria by Transcorp, following the long-standing Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja which is expected to undergo a N9.2 billion renovation over the next three years. Transcorp also own an independently managed 146-room hotel in Calabar, Cross River State.

Transcorp Hotel’s $48.8m IPO which was concluded late last year will partly fund this new hotel as well as a planned 250 guestroom Hilton Hotels & Resorts-branded property in Port Harcourt. The Transcorp Hilton Lagos is expected to cost US$110 million.
