  • Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism

As a real estate-related sector, Tourism performance (local and international) always indirectly impacts the performance of the property market through the hospitality submarket. For example, an increase in the number of tourists and related activities in the country boosts the performance of hotels and serviced apartments, whereas a decline impacts it negatively.

Notably, Lola Ade has been mandated to oversee the performance and growth of the sector. She is a technology expert who founded Novateur Business Technology Consultants in March 2013. She has extensive knowledge of strategic business optimizations and banking technology, having worked with Ecobank Nigeria, and UBA, as the Technology Integration Manager, and Head, Applications, respectively among other entities.

  • Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy

Bosun Tijani is a co-founder and CEO of Co-Creation Hub (CcHub), one of the most influential tech incubators in Africa. From humble beginnings in Yaba, Tijani led Cchub’s expansion in Nigeria, Kenya, and Namibia, by empowering the launch of impactful ventures. His appointment makes him the first member of the tech ecosystem to get a cabinet position, contrary to the norm of civil servants and career politicians having the position. That being said, he is now tasked with the role of further driving Nigeria’s robust tech ecosystem, which also impacts the growth of the property market through innovation techniques such as property technology (proptech).
