Ghana’s industrial sector has reached another milestone with the official launch of the Tema Integrated Industrial Park (TIIP). Tema Integrated Industrial Park is driven by the partnership between the Government of Ghana, TDC Ghana Ltd, the Ghana Integrated Aluminium Development Corporation (GIADEC) and ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (ARISE IIP) under a joint corporation named Tema Integrated Industrial Parks Company Limited (TIIPCo).
The industrial hub officially commenced construction following a ground-breaking ceremony held on 30th June, 2026, with the President of Ghana, President John Dramani Mahama, present. During the launch, ARISE IIP announced that Afreximbank has made available a US$1 billion funding facility for manufacturers and investors operating across ARISE industrial parks, including the Tema Integrated Industrial Park.
Tema Integrated Industrial Park spans approximately 83.5 hectares and is strategically located within the Tema Heavy Industrial Area, approximately 7 kilometres from Ghana’s largest seaport, Tema Port and adjacent to Volta Aluminium Company (VALCO).
