Article Summary: The Villagio Vista, located in Accra, Ghana, is a 38,500sqm residential building featuring three towers with bold local Kente weaving patterns. Designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects, it includes facilities like fitness centres, swimming pools, and underground parking, as well as a Skybar offering panoramic views of the city.
With the use of traditional patterns indigenous to citizens of Ghana, Kente weaving patterns have been used to give The Villagio Vista a bold local identity and it is our building obsession for the week.
Located in the highbrow Airport Residential area of Accra, Ghana, The Villagio Vista consists of three towers overlooking a central garden. The towers are Aqua (Green kente design), which is 8 – 10 floors; Azure which is 17 floors (Red kente design); and Alto which is 27 floors and is the tallest residential building in Ghana (Yellow kente design).

The Villaggio Vista was developed by Trasacco Estates Development Company Limited and designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects, a British firm, who also designed 240 Blackfriars Road, a large office building in London. The Villagio Vista was completed in 2016 and consists of approximately 38,500sqm of predominantly residential accommodation.
Facilities include a fitness center, swimming pools, tennis courts, playground, and underground parking. Also included are a small commercial office component, gym as well as a retail/restaurant space on the ground floor. The top of the Alto also features a Skybar that offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the beautiful city of Accra.

Here are pictures of Dolapo and I at the rooftop bar and a view of Accra from the tallest residential building in the country.
