Riverside Square is a mixed-use development located on Riverside Drive, Nairobi, Kenya. It is being built by Hass Consult and has Roko Construction Limited as the Main Contractor.


Its location gives the development access to major areas around including: Westlands, Lavington, Kileleshwa, Kilimani, and CBD.

The development is also situated opposite the Chilean Embassy on the same road and is in proximity to other developments such as: Sanlam Tower, Lion Place, Templeton House, and Capital West.


The 11-floors development has a gross floor area of 111, 406sqft, and is estimated to be completed in 2022. This mixed-use development is being built to serve residential, retail, and office purposes. Consequently, the development will be divided into 4 different blocks namely:

1. Upper West Side

This will host two floors of retail shops, a supermarket, cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores to serve the everyday needs of residents.  It also provides 11 floors of office space above the shops. The retail section will consist of 18,000 sq ft (c.1,672sqm) and the office space would be 111,406 sq ft (c.10,350sqm) of office space of varying sizes from 500 sq ft (c.46sqm). Its office size is one of the largest in the pipeline coming into Nairobi in 2022, and we feature it in our report here.

2.  Lower West Side

The Lower West Side is home to 1 and 2-bed apartments targeting individuals and small families who will benefit from facilities including a gymnasium, heated swimming pool, and rooftop entertainment space. Connected to the Upper West at the podium level, residents are close to the retail offering next door.

3. Upper East Side

The Upper East Side is also home to 1 and 2-bed apartments, as well as 3 and 4-bed penthouse duplexes. Residents will have access to a heated swimming pool and courtyard gardens within the Upper East Side as well as the array of amenities across the bridge on the west side as it is in the Lower West Side. It is connected by a signature bridge to the Lower West Side.

4. Lower East Side

This segment/area, the Lower East Side,  is a collection of 3-bed apartments with its rooftop swimming pool, poolside relaxation area, and gymnasium, as well as access to the townscape amenities and facilities aforementioned.
