Summary
The findings of this demand study
suggest that there are significant
growth opportunities across all regions
of Africa both from a pent-up and a
new demand perspective. In total,
we estimate that pent-up demand
in the Countries amounts to over 15
million m2
, with new demand growing
total demand to over 20 million m2
by 2027. How much of this demand
will be for prime industrial space is a
question that remains to be answered.
Nonetheless demand for prime space
should make up a good proportion
of total demand, especially since the
supply of prime industrial space in
most parts of Africa (particularly in East
and West Africa) is almost non-existent.
