Alaro City is a mixed use development located in the Lekki Free Zone Area, Epe, Lagos State; the largest free zone in West Africa. It is being developed by Rendeavour in partnership with the Lagos State Government.
Rendeavour is also the initiator of similar cities in other parts of Africa such as Appolonia City in Accra, Tatu City in Nairobi, and Roma Park in Zambia.
The Lekki Free Trade Zone is an upcoming development by a joint venture between a consortium of Chinese companies as well as the Lagos State Government. The development is situated in close proximity to the proposed Lekki International Airport as well as the proposed 4th Mainland Bridge.
Alaro City’s site is located on a 1,000 hectares (2,470 acres) land within the Lekki Free Zone that has been planned to consist of residential, office, retail, as well as light industrial areas. The city will have amenities such as:
Water supply
Waste system
Electricity supply
Good road networks
Recreational areas
While Rendeavour will provide amenities, the lands are available for sale to other developers who intend to build developments in different sectors.
Alaro City was designed by Skidmore Owings and Merrill, the same designers of the Burj al Arab, tallest building in the world.
