Casino Heights Estate

Casino Heights is a residential development in Yaba being completed through a joint venture partnership between GTL Properties Limited, a subsidiary of Greenwich Trust Limited, and Wemabod Estates Limited. It is situated along the Herbert Macaulay highway, at the intersection of Ishola Street in Yaba.

According to the developers, the casting work of the 9th-floor slab is nearing completion and the entire project will be delivered by Q1:2020. The site for Casino Heights was once home to the former Casino Cinema, which was built in the early '60s alongside Danjuma Cinema and Capitol Cinemas. The structure had over three decades of influence on the Lagos cultural scene.

As shown in the images below, the design that Delano Architects put forward incorporates part of the original structure, to maintain some of the casino’s old glory.

According to the developers, Casino heights will incorporate two styles of 3-bedroom apartments. The first style is detailed below:

• Floor Area: 153 sqm; 
• Units: 17;
• Location: From the 1st to the 9th floor; 
• Inclusions: Store and Maid’s room.

The second will be:

• Floor Area: 163 sqm;
• Units: 18;
• Location: From the 1st to the 9th floor;
• Inclusions: Store and Maid’s room.

Each apartment will also have all en-suite bedrooms, fitted wardrobes, and fully equipped kitchens.

Horatio Limited is serving as the main contractor of this project. Their previous experience includes Maryland Mall and a residential tower in Lekki Phase 1 called Eagle Court, which is currently on hold.

The facilities at Casino Heights will include a large multi-purpose hall, retail spaces, a well-equipped gym, adequate parking space, a standby generator, and 24/7 security services.

It also adjoins the popular Mobalaji Johnson indoor sports hall (Rowe Park) and is in proximity to the Jacob Mews Estate, a similar residential development in the neighborhood.
