Global Trade Center (GTC)

Global Trade Center is a mixed use development built by Avic International Real Estate, located on Westlands Road, Westlands, a core business district in Nairobi. Other developments in this area include: The Address Westlands, Pullman Hotel Nairobi, Highridge Towers, La Casa Apartments among others.

This unique development, completed in December 2021 and inaugurated in January 2022, was designed on the HOPSCA model (Hotel, Office, Parking, Shopping mall, Convenience, and Apartments).

The residential aspect of the development consists of 514 apartments, ranging in size from 82sqm for a 1 bedroom apartment to 332 sqm for a 4 bedroom penthouse. 

The commercial building on the other hand, will be known as “GTC Tower” and feature 1,037 car parks and 42 floors of office space with a gross floor plate of 1,600 sqm with size per unit estimated at 400 sqm. 

This office building stands at a height of 184m, making it one of the tallest buildings in Kenya alongside developments such as Britam Towers which is currently the tallest building in Kenya, at 200m. 

The hotel, which is anchored by JW Marriott, will offer 317 guestrooms and 51 serviced apartments and feature an 800 sqm Grand Ballroom and 7 conference rooms. 

Lastly, the retail aspect will feature 11,592 sqm of retail space set to host a variety of retailers that will cover seven sub-sectors, including:

• a boutique supermarket, 

• bank, 

• catering, 

• children’s playground, 

• home furnishing, 

• healthcare and,

• daily services, to embody a “live-work-play” culture.
