Purple Lekki

Purple Lekki is a mixed use development by Purple Capital located off Freedom Way, Lekki Phase 1 completed in Q3 2024. Freedom Way is one of the most popular roads in Lekki Phase 1 housing several residential developments by notable developers. Some of these include: Ambiance Heights by Tribitat Real Estate, Oxygen Apartments by CZar Projects, PrimeWaterview Gardens 2 by Primewaterview limited. 

The 8-floor development offers a gross leasable area of up to c. 12,000sqm comprising commercial, retail, hospitality, and entertainment services. The ground floor will have an open space retail section offering modular size spaces from 3 sqm to 16sqm and larger retail spaces from 30sqm to 50sqm. The first floor will serve as a ‘play’ or entertainment area.  The games and entertainment sections will have pool bars, cinemas, different games spots, and food courts. The second floor is planned for office use and will have varying sizes ranging from private office spaces to larger sizes. Some of the services to be provided will include: conference facilities and meeting rooms, high speed internet, printing stations, and a kitchenette. The fourth to seventh floor will offer up to 175 units of nano apartments including: studios, 1, 2, 3, and 4-bed typologies. The 3rd floor will have parking of up to 300 bays.

Purple Capital has also embarked upon other developments such as the: Purple Maryland (formerly called Maryland Mall), Purple Macro, Purple Urban, and Bishopsgate Residences all located across Lagos.

In October 2021, Purple signed an agreement with Ascott Limited to manage Purple Lekki through Citadines Apart’hotel. Citadines Apart’hotel is a hospitality brand, with a network of more than 770 serviced residences and hotels globally. According to Ascott, Purple Lekki, which contains elements of retail, co-working, entertainment, cuisine, and arts and culture, provides the ideal setting for its product. 

On June 26th, 2025, a tragic incident occurred in which a man reportedly fell from the multi-level car park at the facility and was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital. Following the incident, the Lagos State Government sealed the facility on July 3rd, 2025.

The Lekki Phase 1 region also has other commercial retail and residential projects.
