CDC Group (CDC), the UK’s development finance institution announced the appointment of Seema Dhanani and Benson Adenuga as Heads of Office for Kenya and Nigeria, respectively.

Tenbite Ermias, CDC’s Managing Director for Africa, commented:

The appointment of Seema and Benson adds powerful depth to our in-country presence in two leading African markets. Their expertise and insights will be critical in guiding our origination efforts, portfolio management and stakeholder relationships, ultimately accelerating the pace and scale at which we can act.

CDC is a major player in African Real estate as their funds have led to the developments of One Airport Square, Heritage Place, Jabi Lake Mall, The Exchange, Douala Grand Mall and a host of many other major real estate investments.

The appointment of Seema Dhanani, Ex-Chief Representative officer for East and West Africa at Mauritius Commercial Bank and Benson Adenuga, Ex-Equity lead at International Finance Corporation (IFC) for the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) for sub-Saharan Africa, with no doubt deep investment experience and strong local networks shows CDC’s commitment in Africa. The new appointees will be instrumental in advancing CDC’s commitment to invest US$4.5 billion from 2018 – 2021 across Africa, creating impact that contributes directly towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
