In 2014, Zenith Bank embarked on the development of a 5 floor multi-storey car park in Victoria Island, Lagos. The multi level car park project has now been completed and is now being used by Zenith Bank staff.
It is located on Molade Okoya Thomas Street behind the Zenith Bank HQ on Ajose Adeogun Street and will provide adequate parking for employees in multiple properties owned by Zenith Bank nearby. Currently street curbs, unused land and insufficient inbuilt parking are what the employees utilize.
The built up area is 18,000sqm, however the total number parking bays have not been specified. Elalan and ACCL are part of the project team, brought in as contractors and architects respectively.
Over the past decade, workers and commuters in Lagos have generally become accustomed to the inherent problems that come with inadequate parking facilities. However, with car park projects and new office developments with good parking ratios things are starting to improve.
