11th January, Lagos: Pan African Real Estate Data and Research Company, Estate Intel has won Africa’s Proptech Company of the Year Award in the Africa Housing Awards held on 15th December 2022 in  Abuja, Nigeria.

The company was awarded the title in recognition for its achievements in utilizing technology to track key real estate markets across Africa hence improving on the overall transparency of the African real estate sector and becoming a premier proptech company across the Africa Proptech ecosystem.

In 2022 alone, the company has made significant strides including; growing its coverage from only Nigeria covering 13 submarkets to 6 countries,10 cities covering over 124 submarkets through their premier Estate Intel Dashboards; advising on projects in excess of US$516M by real estate value; launching Vesper, a Property Value Estimating tool, which is still in public beta and can now estimate property values in 3 African countries as well as raising more than$500,000 in pre-seed funding led by Metaprop, and additional funding from Google of up to $100,000. 

While commenting on the win, Estate Intel’s CEO Dolapo Omidire noted, ‘We are honoured to have won the Proptech Company of the year award. Held annually, the Africa Housing Awards, celebrate leading companies and individuals across the Africa real estate and housing sector.They recognize and promote excellence in the continent’s real estate and housing sector and are a critical benchmark for measuring success in the industry. This year, the event was attended by over 100 ceos of real estate and mortgage banks in Nigeria as well as  leading stakeholders including the Deputy Governor of Yobe state, CEOs of FMBN and Family Homes funds
