Four Seasons Hotel and Resort Set to Launch in Morocco's Capital

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in collaboration with Atlantic Coast Hospitality has announced plans to set up a Four Seasons Hotel in Rabat, Morocco. The hotel will be located within the historic 12-acre Kasr Al Bahr (meaning Castle of the Sea), a summer palace built in the 19th century which was formerly used as a military hospital. The renovation of the palace is being handled by a project team consisting of:
- Karim Chakor of META Atelier d’Architecture,
- Roger Nazarian and Associates as the property’s interior designers and landscapers
Scheduled to launch later in the year, the hotel will join the portfolio of Four Seasons Hotels in Morocco, including:
- Resort Marrakech
- Four Seasons Private Residences Marrakech at M Avenue
- Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca.
Once the renovations of the iconic palace are complete, the hotel will provide 204 rooms and suites that offer unparalleled views of the Atlantic Ocean. Additional features will include;
- Seven restaurants and lounges
- A spa with an indoor swimming pool
- Outdoor resort-style pools
- Conference and event space
In a statement given by Bart Carnahan, President, Global Business Development and Portfolio Management, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, highlighted their focus on providing a luxury hospitality experience to guests. He noted, “As Four Seasons continues to grow its presence in Morocco, we are proud to build upon the success of our existing properties in Marrakech and Casablanca while introducing a complementary experience, this time in the nation’s capital city. We are honored that our partners at Atlantic Coast Hospitality have chosen Four Seasons as the stewards of Kasr Al Bahr, and we look forward to introducing guests to this dynamic destination through a new luxury hospitality experience marked by our renowned personalized service and quality excellence.”
This announcement comes in the wake of other recent openings focused on Morocco such as Nobu Hotels launching in Marrakech, pointing towards a continued preference for the market by hotel operators.
