GRIT Real Estate Income Group announced plans to construct a hospital along Nairobi’s Ngong’ Road area, as well two data center facilities at Ruiru’s Tatu City, and Mlolongo area along Mombasa Road. Construction of the projects whose value and facilities composition is yet to be disclosed, is expected to commence in Q3 ‘2023, as per the announcement made on 3rd May 2023. 

Grit’s incoming health care facility comes at a time when there is a continuous growing need for adequate health care services mainly driven by a rapidly growing population and urbanization growth rate currently at 1.9% and 3.7%, respectively, in Kenya. The Nairobi Women’s Hospital is a private hospital located off Ngong Road, in Kilimani. It was founded in 2001 by Dr. Sam Thenya, and currently has a capacity of 654 beds.
