Africa’s leading outsourcing firm CCI Global, in the presence of Kenya’s President William Ruto recently inaugurated the largest call centre project in the country, dubbed Eneo at Tatu Cental. It is located in Tatu City-Kiambu County, approximately 30 Km from Nairobi’s City Centre. This brings CCI’s total number of international contact centres to 17, and the second branch in the country after the Garden City centre. The other centres across the continent are in Egypt, Ghana, Ethiopia, and Rwanda. Here’s an inside look at CCI’s new HQ:
- It is an A-grade mixed-use project in Kenya’s first operational SEZ-Tatu City, Ruiru Sub County.
- It was developed by Gateway Real Estate Africa, with the groundbreaking conducted in June 2022 and completed in record schedule time, April 2024.
- It is also an IFC-Edge-Certified project with features that include but are not limited to self-shading façades, high-performance glass in some areas, and natural ventilation.
- Further, the US$ 50.6 mn project comprises 25,812 sqm of GLA spread over five floors, with its office and retail spaces spanning over 22,000 sqm and 3,000 sqm, respectively.
- Interestingly, the building already has an 82% uptake rate with CCI Global as the anchor tenant, and I&M Bank, Prime Bank, Naivas Supermarket, Tamarind, Bon Bon, Grit, and Tatu City as the other key tenants.
- Additionally, it has 547 parking spaces spread on two basement levels.
The completion and commissioning of the project not only boosts the A-grade office stock in Nairobi but also increases job opportunities in the country given the firm’s expansion by doubling its workforce and consequently boosting its socio-economic status.
Moreover, it reaffirms the organisation’s commitment to East Africa, while solidifying Kenya’s position as the region’s top business hub, given that the centre is its largest in the area.
“I am pleased to affirm Africa’s prominence as a top destination for call centre operations, with Kenya emerging as a standout choice. Our decision to expand across Kenya reflects our profound confidence in the country’s thriving BPO industry and its capacity for sustained growth.’’ Stated Martin Roe, the CEO of CCI Global.
