Nigerian oil and gas company, Seplat Energy recently moved its global office to the prestigious World Trade Centre Building in Abuja. They were previously located in SPDC (Shell) Corporate Office, Phase Two Central Business District, Abuja, before moving to the notable WTC development.
Here’s what you should know about this building:
- The World Trade Center 2 is a prime office development located on Constitution Avenue, Central Business District of Abuja, Nigeria. It was developed by Churchgate and designed by Woods Bagot Limited with WSP Consultants as the Structural and MEP Engineers.
- The project team completed the development in January 2019 as part of a mixed use complex comprising three towers and a Mall, all of which are under various stages of construction. The office tower has 24 floors and a gross leasable area of 26,400m2. Once complete, the complex will feature:
- The World Trade Centre 1: A 24-floor apartment building currently regarded as the tallest residential building in Nigeria at a height of 110m, comprising 120 apartments.
- World Trade Centre 2: The tower is currently regarded as the tallest building in Abuja at 120m with office options that range from 130m2 to 1,440m2.
- Capital Mall: a conceptual project with an estimated size of 40,000m2 on two levels.
- World Trade Centre Hotel – A conceptual 45-floor branded hotel to be managed by Grand Hyatt.
- The World Trade Center 2 – managed by Churchgate – boasts first class amenities that include:
- 24 hour concierge and maintenance services
- 3 levels of basement parking
- 500 onsite CCTV cameras
- Card enabled access control
- Sound insulating and shatterproof glass
- High speed Schindler elevators
- Fibre internet services and VOIP
The presence of major oil and gas players in Abuja should boost its office market appeal
Despite top-notch amenities and features set to entice high-value companies, Abuja as an office location has always come behind Lagos in terms of preference. However, the presence of a notable entity like Seplat and other major oil and gas players should boost its appeal.
