The first quarter of 2022 saw the office sector
continue to struggle through its demand and supply
disequilibrium. Demand fundamentals are still being
suppressed by trends such as the continuing
work-from-home preference, the repurposing and
renovation of offices, corporate consolidations or
downscaling, and changes to the way people work.
From a nodal perspective, semigration is another
pertinent factor limiting demand. Finally, confined
business confidence, high unemployment, and deflated
economic growth levels continue to curb the potential
for recovery within this sector
