In a previous article, we noted that start-ups find co-working spaces much better to subscribe to than formal office spaces, especially because of its flexibility, and low cost. In this article, we highlight the co-working spaces in Lagos Mainland and its environs. According to coworker.com, the total number of co-working spaces in Lagos State has been estimated to be 97.

Lagos Mainland and its environs consist of several local governments including: Yaba, Surulere, Ikeja, Yaba, amongst many others. Ikeja was seen to be the area with the largest number of co-working spaces, having 14 in number. This location distribution is shown in the chart below:

 

 

With regards to facilities, these co-working spaces offer services ranging from: private office spaces, open plan offices, dedicated office desks, meeting rooms, virtual offices, podcasting room/recording studio, onsite restaurant, gym, games room, and even co-living accommodation spaces for few.
