Reliance Referral Hospital is a 160-bed hospital located in Garki II, Abuja that was completed in 2013. It is owned by Acacia Holdings company, a hold-co established to provide services in healthcare, furniture and other sectors.
Prior to its opening, it was said that the hospital would be managed by InterHealth Canada (Global Healthcare Solutions), but it is unclear if this is still the case. Upon completion, the hospital also sought to achieve accreditation from Joint Commission International (JCI), the highest international healthcare accreditation brand in the world for quality healthcare standard. However, according to JCI, the only hospital with this accreditation in Nigeria is the Lagoon Hospital in Lagos.
Reliance is a specialist hospital for:
- Nephrology
- Cardiology
- Ophthalmology
- Urology
- Medical Diagnostics and others.
According to the owners, facilities include 10 dialysis units, 1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine, 64 Slice CT scanner, Doppler ultrasound scanner, Lithotripter, Full laser equipment for eye surgery, Full urologic endoscopy capabilities including laser, Fully equipped Intensive Care Unit, Microscopic surgery capabilities, Endoscopic ENT capabilities and ‘world class’ laboratory services.
