The Lagos State Government recently broke ground on its $100 million film city project in Epe called Kebulania. The project will be undertaken in collaboration with Del-York International Group – a partner of international experience design firm Storyland Studios – after a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in October 2022 between the two parties. 

 

Key Things to Note About the Kebulania Film City Project:

 

  1. The Kebulania project is estimated to cost $100 million to execute. It will be undertaken as a partnership between the Lagos State Government and Del-York International Group.

  1. Located in Epe, Lagos State, the Film City project will span over 100 hectares of land and host multiple film studios in a bid to boost the country’s entertainment sector. The first set of studios are expected to be completed within 24 months from groundbreaking.

  1. The Kebulania film city will be the second of such projects located in Lagos State. Last year, The Silverbird Group announced a world class studio complex and film academy across eight acres in Eko Atlantic City. Silverbird’s project will be undertaken in conjunction with AfreximBank after a $140 million partnership deal was signed in November 2022.
