The Dayspring Property Development Company is currently developing a 20 storey tower on the corner of Alfred Rewane (Kingsway) and Olawole Dawodu Road in Ikoyi, Lagos called Famfa Oil Tower. Piling works commenced in Q4:2016 by Trevi Foundations and above-ground work has commenced with Julius Berger acting as the main contractor.
Aside from the 3 floors of office space dedicated to Famfa Oil, the property will also offer leasable office space and a multipurpose hall, each with a dedicated well-appointed entrance at the Ground floor.
Amenities and features include a gymnasium, helipad (with a dedicated waiting lounge), 266 carpark spaces, raised access floors and select granite finishes. The building’s façade will also comprise of extensive high performance unitized curtain walling with integrated façade lighting, ballistic performance considerations in select areas, and aluminum cladding. A proposal which is still being considered is to have Rotary UPS systems as an alternative to generators such that in the event of power outage, there is no interruption of power supply thereby ensuring a seamless flow of electricity.
As the photos below show, it is also is located right beside Rising Sun, which is owned by British American Tobacco and used as their HQ. Other projects in Dayspring Property Development Company’s portfolio include the Rose of Sharon Tower in Victoria Island and Project Delta in Ikoyi. The company is chaired by Folorunsho Alakija, who is one of the world’s richest women.
